YEMEN MOCHA REGION: Yemen Mocha is grown in the regions of Mattari, San’ani, Hirazi and Raimi. They are not chemically treated, and are raised traditionally which add to their interesting taste. WHAT IT TASTES LIKE: When you hear Yemen MOCHA, one might think that that means that it tastes like chocolate, however that person would be mistaken. The word “Mocha” in Yemen Mocha comes from the name of the port city where this coffee was packed and shipped around the world. The actual taste of Yemen Mocha is a very deep and complex taste; it has hints of dried fruit (such as raisins), cardamom, cinnamon and even some notes of tobacco. The cup has a very earthy, and pungent smell and taste. Don’t let this description turn you off; it is a very lovely coffee, just a bit more of an acquired taste then some other coffees. |
